Precise signals for dynamic movements thanks to sensor fusion

Our N7 dynamic series tilt sensors are designed for demanding applications. With strong accelerations and sudden movements, conventional acceleration sensors reach their limits. That is why we have equipped the N7 dynamic with Sensor Fusion – a responsive combination of acceleration sensor and gyroscope.

 

Acceleration compensation

The N7 dynamic is ideal for dynamic mobile machines that are exposed to violent movements, shocks and vibrations. The acceleration sensor measures the inclination (like a static tilt sensor), while the gyroscope determines the rotation rate.

Sensor Fusion

Sensor Fusion is a proven method in which an intelligent software algorithm combines the signals from the two different measuring principles. By combining relevant measurement and empirical values, Sensor Fusion can be used to compensate for inaccuracies, correct errors and optimise the stability of the measured values of the N7 dynamic without delay. On request, we can provide parameter sets customised to your application in order to increase the performance and accuracy of the sensor.
