With the 424CO, elobau has developed a CAN-capable angle sensor pursuant to ISO 11898 with CANopen protocol. Its measuring principle is based on a Hall sensor which registers the changes of the magnetic field and outputs a corresponding signal. This means the sensor is contactless, which makes it extremely reliable and contributes to its long service life.
The 424CO angle sensor offers a measurement range of 360° with of a resolution of 0.1° and a linearity error of less than 1° over the entire angular range. Its rotational axis is plain-bearing and can thus handle smaller radial forces. This predestines it for almost any application. Due to high protection class IP67, the sensor can be used with great success even under tough environmental conditions. The recommended temperature range is between -40 and +85 degrees. Due to its EMC resistance (field withstand 200 V/m according to ISO 11452-5) and the CAN output, the sensor is also suitable for use in the automotive sector.
Various specifications such as the baud rate or direction of rotation can optionally be configured via the CANopen protocol. elobau also provides suitable cable sets or operating levers on request. The unit is connected via a Deutsch plug.
