In this context, elobau welcomed a group of young people from Afghanistan and various African countries for a tour of the plant in Leutkirch. The visit took place as part of the project “Excursions, objects and installations”, a program with which Stephanuswerk Isny, as social institution, aims to support young people and young adults with refugee and migration experience in the process of integration. At the heart of the project are excursions that provide insights into different areas of our society, the world of work, but also art and culture. The young people have often only been in Germany for a short time and have to find their way around from scratch. Excursions to companies and public institutions are intended to build confidence in the new environment and strengthen the connection to the region.
elobau was glad to contribute to this important project goal and welcomed the young guests to a tour of the plant. An elobau manager showed the young people, aged 16 to 19, the various areas located in Plant 2 and explained which products are manufactured there. This gave the young people the opportunity to get to know elobau better, both as a company and as an employer. The tour was obviously well received, as several of the young people expressed an interest in applying for an internship at elobau after the visit.
