Once again this year, over 250 sustainability experts from various industries gathered at the Sustainability Congress, which is organized by the Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management GmbH in cooperation with PwC, from 18 to 19 October in Berlin. The event offers representatives from business and politics an important platform for presenting strategies and visions for a sustainable future, exchanging ideas and expanding their network in the field of sustainability.
The “Sustainable Operations Championship Award” is presented to companies that have implemented outstanding sustainability concepts and solutions in the categories Net Zero, Circularity or Human Rights Due Diligence and have thus consistently and exceptionally optimized the company in a sustainable manner. The award is presented during the Sustainability Congress. The winners are announced at the award ceremony. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to present their strategies and individual solutions to a high-profile audience on the second day of the congress.
Pascal Schwarz, Sustainability Manager, and Lukas Mang, Sustainability & Social Responsibility Officer, from elobau traveled to the award ceremony in Berlin to accept the “Sustainable Operations Championship Award” in the “Net Zero” category together. Pascal Schwarz also had the opportunity to give a keynote speech and to present elobau’s sustainability strategy to the congress audience. Schwarz emphasized the importance of a holistic approach: “elobau has been pursuing a long-term sustainability strategy since 2009, which always ensures that we only take as much out of the economic, ecological and social cycle for our business activities as we can add back elsewhere at the same time. This is our entire endeavor, because it is the only way to protect nature and resources and thus also the future of coming generations.”
elobau is delighted with this success and sees it as an encouragement to continue to pursue and consistently implement its corporate vision of comprehensive sustainable management.
