bauma 2025: Discover our new generation of joysticks with the Robust Joystick JE!

The highlight at our booth this year: the new robust joystick JE.

For elobau, bauma is the highlight of the 2025 trade fair year – and we have prepared a lot for our trade fair appearance! We will show you our modular armrest 225MA Midi, the new mini armrest, our inclination sensors N6 static / N7 dynamic and many other products.

This year, however, the highlight at our booth will be the new Robust Joystick JE. This is a real milestone in our product portfolio and paves the way for a new generation of joysticks from elobau. In the Robust Joystick JE, we have incorporated our experience with previous joystick generations, taking the product to a whole new level. During development, the focus was particularly on optimising the interface between man and machine.

What makes the new Robust Joystick JE so special?

Quite a few things! With the elobau Robust Joystick JE, you can be sure of the highest safety standards. Thanks to its outstanding performance level, it can be seamlessly integrated into the safety architecture of your machine – for maximum reliability and protection in use. What’s more, with the JE you can rely on seamless communication between the joystick and the machine. The JE impresses with easier maintainability and simple integration into your CAN system.

When used in harsh construction site environments, the IP6K9K protection rating ensures that the joystick can be used in all weather conditions – inside or outside the vehicle cab. The two main shells of the handle are fully sealed by a special manufacturing process. The buttons and the thumb tips are completely protected against water and dirt by the high-quality bellows. The buttons, which have been optimised for the joystick handle, are highly intuitive and ergonomic. They set new standards in terms of design and feel. The RGB multicolour LEDs can display any colour and individual brightness levels, have a lifespan of approx. 4 million cycles and ensure maximum safety thanks to Performance Level PLc. The built-in thumb tips have also been specially developed for the Robust Joystick JE with a great deal of elobau know-how – for maximum control with minimal effort.

The fine-pored surface and ergonomic shape of the handle are easy on the touch and provide a secure grip for the operator. The integrated presence detection prevents unwanted joystick activations and, consequently, machine movements, and the handle heating provides more comfort during operation. The built-in vibrotactile feedback, which can be adjusted to your needs via CAN, ensures greater occupational safety. In addition to the handle, the base of the Robust Joystick JE also sets new standards in terms of functional safety and precision – for a noticeable difference compared to other joysticks!

The Robust Joystick JE can be customised to your needs so that it can be perfectly adapted to the planned areas of application. It is suitable for use in mobile excavators, crawler excavators, wheel loaders, telescopic handlers, mini excavators, backhoe loaders and dumpers, for example. Its innovative features offer increased safety and comfort, and its durability sustainably reduces costs – making it a real game-changer for operators of mobile machinery!

At bauma, you will not only have the opportunity to see our Robust Joystick JE on site, but also to test it and its functions on our new simulator. Developed by our Canadian partner CM Labs, it brings our vision of working with the JE to life virtually.
