The district of Ravensburg has been organising this forum for enterprising companies for 7 years. As elobau is a well-known sustainable company in the region, the meeting with representatives of the companies, and municipalities, along with District Administrator Harald Sievers, the State Minister for the Environment, Climate and Energy Franz Untersteller, and Walter Göppel from the Ravensburg Energy Agency took place in our carbon-neutral premises in Leutkirch.
elobau were highly praised by Franz Untersteller, the Minister of the Environment, for their efforts in promoting sustainability.
Michael Hetzer took all visitors on a 10-year time journey of sustainability at elobau. He too, like Minister Untersteller, believed that the CO2 price of 10€ per tonne is far too low to bring about any change. However, it is precisely these external conditions that are crucial for the speed in which climate protection is implemented. Michael Hetzer cited as an example to the politicians involved, that there is a lack of funding for innovative mobility concepts such as ride pooling or car-sharing platforms in rural areas, but since public transport in rural areas is also very poorly developed, this is extremely important. In the subsequent informal exchange of experiences, the topic of climate protection policy was the basis for intensive and good-natured discussions.
