In the category of architecture, elobau impressed the jury with its innovative approach to sustainable construction as part of the expansion of Plant II at the Leutkirch site. In doing so, elobau relied on environmentally friendly materials and an energy-efficient construction concept that not only minimizes the ecological footprint, but also promotes the well-being of the residents. The jury praised the building project as exemplary in terms of sustainability. According to the jury’s statement: “f64 Architekten and Stadtplaner GmbH, together with the client, elobau GmbH & Co. KG, have planned and built an exemplary commercial building with the extension of Plant II for sensor technology, both in terms of the quality of stay for the users, the requirements of emission- and resource-efficient manufacturing and operation to be met today and, last but not least, the architectural quality and integration into the regional context.”
In the field of electrical engineering/electronics, elobau – as a leading supplier of control elements, machine safety, level measurement and sensor technology – was also able to convince the jury with its sustainability strategy. Ecology is an integral part of elobau’s business activities, which is why the company invests in the continuous improvement of its material and energy cycles. The nomination is a recognition of this commitment and honors elobau as a pioneer for sustainable electrical engineering and electronics.
The nomination in these two categories alone is a success. For the award ceremony in Berlin at the end of November, the task now is to keep our fingers crossed.
