elobau will continue its support of the non-profit GmbH Kreatives Unternehmertum in 2022. Since 2016, we have been supporting the initiative with 25,000 euros annually. The money is invested in various research and educational projects on the topic of creative entrepreneurship and offers young people the opportunity to apply for various scholarship programmes.
With creative entrepreneurship to shaping society
“Creative entrepreneurship deals with the interface between business and society,” explains co-founder Jonas Nussbaumer. “The aspect of how entrepreneurship can have a sustainable impact on society through creative approaches and thus make an effective contribution to a liveable future is particularly important.”
To meet this challenge, Nussbaumer and his colleagues have opted for a hybrid construct consisting of a non-profit and an entrepreneurial society. The non-profit Kreatives Unternehmertum gGmbH is to promote awareness of the socio-creative possibilities of enterprises through various educational offers and to support further research in this field.
The entrepreneurial unit of Kreatives Unternehmertum, in turn, offers companies the company-specific design of sustainable business models and support in the early stages of implementation. As a company, the primary goal is to have a positive impact on society and to be economically profitable with the measures.
Kreatives Unternehmertum has also supported us in a number of projects, such as the further development of occupational health management or the accompaniment of new entrepreneurial ventures. “The relationship between us and elobau is definitely something very special,” Nussbaumer emphasises. “When we organised our first congress on the topic of creative entrepreneurship, Michael Hetzer was the first to register and subsequently our first sponsor from the business world.” Michael Hetzer was immediately on fire. “The approach of the young students already excited me back then,” says Hetzer, “I’m very pleased that the student commitment has paid off – both figuratively and literally.” Hetzer is present with keynote speeches at Kreatives Unternehmertum’s educational events. He is convinced of the hybrid approach. “After all, this one is the best example that the combination of entrepreneurship and social design works. Economic success is the most sustainable way to keep positive initiatives alive.”
Nevertheless, the non-profit education and research programmes are financed in no small part by donations. Despite an economically challenging time due to the Covid 19 pandemic and global supply shortages, elobau feels strongly about promoting such society-shaping activities and will continue to do so.
